Re: P?O?L?L?E?N (And a question on dynamically detecting install directory for Steam games)
There's 3 'Special Path' variables GameSave Manager uses for Steam titles. %STEAM% - root directory of the Steam installation directory or 'Steam Library' %STEAM_CACHE% - data stored using an older Source engine which preferred to save data to the 'steamapps\common\ username ' path (outdated and kep...

Re: Steam Spreader doesn't remember what was moved
Steam Spreader recalls moved (processed) directories through the steam_spreader.xml file (located in either ' ..\AppData\Roaming\GameSave Manager 3 ' or the ' settings ' sub-folder). If you've somehow cleared this file, you'll need to re-populate it manually as follows: <GameSaveManager_SteamSpreade...

Re: NOOB question: Do regular backups of a game from a scheduled task overwrite themselves?
Backup behaviour is based upon your task's configuration. If the change detection option is enabled, your existing backup will be replaced else another archive is made. It's probably not advisable to perform a backup hourly, especially while gaming. Unless you're running a beast of a gaming rig, Gam...

Re: GameSave not seeing Microsoft No Man Sky directory
By 'Xbox', I assume you mean the Microsoft Store. At the time of typing this, there is no Microsoft Store specific save location in the database. Only a "generic" save location within ..\AppData\Roamining\.. is being searched for. If you know of a different save location, by all means let ...

Re: How to restore backups of multiple games from backup folder?
You can select multiple archives from a directory by holding Ctrl on your keyboard and clicking them. Alternatively use the Ctrl + A key combination to select everything in the directory.

Re: Questions about the app
The first one is, what does "partially Sync & Link'd" mean in the Make a backup part of the menu? I see that some of the games that I Sync & Link'd have that next to them, and is there a way to make them fully synced? The 'tag' is just to let you know some, or all, of a detected r...

Re: Questions about the app
So for the Sync & Link, do I need to keep the GameSave Manager app open for it to keep the saves up to date? Also, I don't need to use the backup if I am using Sync & Link, right? You'd only need to run GameSave Manager to process additional records (or to undo the Sync & Link task enti...

Re: Questions about the app
My first question is, why are the saves different in the between the two locations? As in, the ones on my PC are a single GSBA file, and the ones on OneDrive are folders with multiple things in them. There's two functions there; a backup (the 'gsba' file) and Sync & Link (using Dropbox, OneDriv...
