doesnt restore

Post by dfssdf »

When I restore game saves (*.gsba) via GameSave Manager, it says that the restore task was completed successfully.
But when I open the games or even destination-save folders (for example - C:\Users\ me \Documents\American Truck Simulator) I can?t see the "restored" save anywhere.

Are you checking the directory that's specified within GameSave Manager?
If you're running GameSave Manager with elevated rights (i.e Run as Administrator), the v3.x branch has a tendancy to use the Administrator user profile (i.e C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\...).

Is that as yes to you running as an administrator?

I'd suggest you disable this for restoring user-specific saves. You can do this by making sure the "Run this program as an administrator" checkbox is unchecked on the Properties -> Compatibility tab of gs_mngr_3.exe (you may also need to do the same via the Change settings for all users option in the same tab).

Forgot to answer in time.

I found a working solution on a steam forum:

Go to Windows Defender Security Center and go to Virus & threat protection > Virus & threat protection settings
and look for something like "controlled folder access" and make sure that is toggled to OFF.
